Red Lithium Niobate, UV Resin, Laser Etched Apple Mac Pro Side Panel, Laser Etched Silicone, Laser Etched Acrylic, 3D Models of Brain Parts, Acrylic Paint, Laser Print, Automotive body Filler, CA Glue
The top portion of the sculpture is made from UV resin covered with images generated from merging microscopic images of computer chips and slides of slices of the human brain. The sculpture was put together from parts of brains sourced from an open source brain mapping project. The tip of the sculpture contains a Red Lithium Niobate, a lab grown gem created for experimental computing systems. The sculpture straddles a 3D model of a fetus made using experimental AI powered tools. The fetus sits on laser etched silicone, a material key for computing. On top of the pink box is a laser etched side panel from an Apple Mac Pro. The pink box is laser etched acrylic with images depicting a human in a lab transforming into a grotesque creature.
