These colored bedrooms were found on Polycam. They were uploaded by the people who actually live in the bedrooms. I entered the bedrooms in virtual reality and added the “treelike” organic branches to the rooms. I adorned these branches with other found assets as well as collages of memes and images related to internet culture and digital consumption. Over time a bedroom accumulates objects obtained throughout a lifetime, often as a young person grows and they change traces of the past are left to gather in the bedroom, similar to a camera roll on a phone with the digital past unscrubbed through the endless expansion and affordability of digital storage.
